Crane Service & Modernization
Periodic inspections, preventive maintenance, inverter and radio retrofits and original spare parts, with a 24/7 service line for breakdowns.
Keep every crane safe and running
A crane that stops can stop a whole plant. EOTEC supports cranes for their whole life, and that includes cranes and hoists of most other makes. Call the 24/7 service line on +90 533 386 98 29 for breakdown support.

Inspection requirements
Lifting equipment must be inspected regularly under workplace safety rules. In Türkiye, periodic inspection of lifting equipment is required under the regulation on health and safety in the use of work equipment, normally at least once a year, with more frequent checks where the operating conditions demand it. Confirm the requirements for your site with your occupational safety adviser.
When modernization makes sense
Replacing a whole crane is not always necessary. If the steel structure is sound, new drives, controls or a new hoist can give an old crane much of the performance of a new one. Typical upgrades include:
- Inverter drives for smooth starts, accurate positioning and less load swing.
- Radio remote control so the operator can stand in the safest place.
- New hoists and safety devices such as overload limiters and anti-collision sensors.
- New control panels and power supply where spare parts have become hard to find.

Installation and testing of new cranes
For new cranes, our own teams handle runway alignment, erection, commissioning, load testing, CE documentation and operator training.

Do you service cranes from other manufacturers?
Yes. We inspect, maintain, repair and modernize cranes and hoists of most makes, including inverter, radio remote and control upgrades.
Is the service line available at night and at weekends?
The EOTEC service line runs 24/7 for breakdown support.
Can an old crane be upgraded instead of replaced?
Often yes. If the structure is sound, inverter drives, radio control and a new hoist can extend its life. We assess this on site.
What is checked during a periodic crane inspection?
A periodic inspection covers the structure, wire ropes, hooks, brakes, limit switches, overload devices and controls. The purpose is to confirm that the crane is still safe to use and to find wear or damage before it becomes a fault. Anything found is then planned as repair or maintenance. Keep the last report and any repair records available, as they show how the crane has changed over time.
How often does an overhead crane need inspecting in Türkiye?
Normally at least once a year. Periodic inspection of lifting equipment in Türkiye is required under the regulation on health and safety in the use of work equipment, with more frequent checks where the operating conditions demand it. Heavy use or a harsh environment can be reasons for a shorter interval. Confirm the requirements for your site with your occupational safety adviser.
What is the difference between crane inspection and preventive maintenance?
An inspection assesses the crane's condition and shows what is wrong. Preventive maintenance is the planned servicing that catches wear before it causes a stoppage. One does not replace the other: a crane that has passed inspection has not necessarily been serviced. Plants that work their cranes hard usually gain most from a maintenance plan built around the duty and the production schedule.
Does a crane need a load test after modernization or a major repair?
After major work, yes: testing and documentation are part of the job, in the same way as after installation. A new hoist or a structural repair changes what the original test proved, so the crane should be shown to perform again before going back into production. Smaller jobs may not call for a full test. Confirm what applies to your site with your occupational safety adviser.
What should I do and what information should I have ready when a crane breaks down?
Take the crane out of use, keep people clear of any suspended load, and call the 24/7 service line on +90 533 386 98 29. Have the make, model, capacity and site location ready, and describe what happened and any fault shown on the panel. Photos of the nameplate and the fault help identify parts.
